Hatha Yoga

Yoga is a system of exercises from India which is centered on the comprehensive perfection of the body whilst working on the spiritual zone at the same time. The student assumes special positions, called "asana," which allow for the synchronization of work connected with stretching and strengthening muscles, tendons and joints as well as enhancing the work of the internal organs. Hatha Yoga enables one to achieve internal energetic harmony whilst exercising. HA symbolizes active energy, hot and male, while THA represents passive, cool and female energy. Hatha is simply their balanced state.   This universal system of exercise is aimed at both men and women of any age an allows one to understand the unceasing processes of the pervasion of body and mind and has a positive effect on our attitude to the world.   Yoga – in search of balance:

  • You will improve your figure and purify your organism
  • You will toughen your psychophysical condition
  • You will fortify your immune system by defeating physical and energetic barriers which disturb its work
  • You will strengthen your spine and joints, getting rid of annoying back pains. You will also improve your posture
  • You will improve your coordination and sense your body in a totally fresh way
  • You will quieten your internal emotions, defeat stress and depression and improve your sense of well-being
  • You will improve the dexterity of your mind and memory
  • Finally you will relax and be able to concentrate on future challenges

The lessons are based on the Iyengara method and last 90 minutes.

You will be led into the world of exercise and Indian philosophy by our instructor, Magda Majewska. Magda is a graduate of Sociology at Warsaw Universiy and is now a student of basic psychology at the same academy. Since she was a young child her life has revolved around exercise. Startin with the acrobatic section at the Palace of Culture, through 3 years at the National Ballet School and finally in the modern dance group, VOLT. With VOLT she twice won the National Championships in 1995 and 1996. She has been practising Yoga for 4 years, following the Iyengara method. She has been sharing her knowledge, skills and experience with clients of Warsaw fitnness clubs for over 2 years.  

Attention!
Please follow the instructions of the trainer to the letter.
For safety reasons, persons who wish to start training at our club, must practise 'asana' for novices for the first month, irrespective of their level of ability.
If you are pregnant or have health problems please inform the instructor before exercising.
Our specially prepared programs also allow those with spine and joint illnesses to practice Yoga.
